Seven mistakes most often made on a first booking

Not the large misunderstandings, but the small choices that make an evening needlessly awkward.

Booking too short

The regret named most often afterwards is not about what happened but about the length. Two hours is tight for a first appointment, because the first half hour goes on getting acquainted.

Three hours leaves room. Extending during the appointment is usually possible, but then it happens under time pressure.

Saying nothing about nerves

Almost everyone is tense the first time and agencies hear it daily. Mentioning it changes which name is proposed and how the first minutes go.

Not mentioning it changes nothing except that the conversation takes half an hour longer to start.

Drinking too much

One glass makes it easier, three make it unclear. Experienced companions hold to that themselves and will point it out when it goes the other way.

Not asking about travel costs

The amount that causes disagreement afterwards is almost never the hourly rate. It is travel, because it is the one item listed separately and therefore forgotten.

Leaving everything open in the request

A request with no direction produces an arbitrary suggestion. One line about the occasion and one about what should not happen change that.

Thinking about payment only on the day

Cash is usual and card payment is not. Anyone discovering that on the evening itself ends up at a cash machine at an unfortunate moment.

Booking again immediately

Agencies advise waiting after a first time, certainly for couples. The conversation afterwards matters more than the appointment itself.

Editorial note

What people write down afterwards is collected on the experiences page of The Men's Company.

The Men's Company

Unpaid note. dutchgigolo.nl has no commercial relationship with the agencies mentioned and receives nothing for bookings made there.
