The amount and what it contains
The starting figure is around five hundred euro for the first two hours, averaging near five hundred and forty. Dutch agencies quote that with VAT included and as an all in figure, with travel costs the one item added separately.
How a request runs
Six lines in a message will do. An agency replies with a name, a confirmation and a total. If the total is missing, that is the first follow up question.
Where agencies differ
Less in the hourly rate than in the conditions: couple surcharges, discounts on longer bookings and the way travel costs are calculated.

Anyone who does want to arrange something ends up at an agency. Of those reviewed here, The Men's Company lists rates per profile and applies no surcharge for a couple, which is not standard practice in this market.

What does an appointment cost in the Netherlands and Flanders?
Usually between five hundred and six hundred and fifty euro for the first two hours, averaging around five hundred and forty, with roughly one hundred and fifty euro per additional hour. Luxembourg runs higher.
Is VAT included in the quoted amount?
At Dutch agencies it generally is, and the amount is all in, with travel costs added separately. Not every agency works that way, so it is worth asking in first contact.
Is there a surcharge for couples?
It varies. Some agencies charge nothing extra and apply the profile rate; others add a couple rate. On a single evening the difference runs into hundreds of euro.
How far ahead should a booking be made?
Two days is usually enough in the Randstad, Antwerp and Ghent. A week is more realistic in the north of the Netherlands, in Wallonia and in Luxembourg.
