A small market
The grand duchy has just over six hundred thousand inhabitants and it shows. Few companions live and register there, so many bookings are filled by someone travelling in from Belgium, Germany or France.
Anyone wanting an appointment in Luxembourg does better planning a week ahead than two days.
Rates
Amounts run structurally higher than in the Netherlands and Flanders. Six hundred euro or more for the first two hours is usual, against a Dutch average of around five hundred and forty.
Travel costs form a real part of the total when someone comes from Brussels, Trier or Metz, and that amount should be stated in advance.
Languages
French, German and Luxembourgish are the usual languages, with English an obvious second choice in the financial sector. Requests in Dutch come mainly from people posted there for a while.
Anyone who values the conversation is better served by a shared language than by the nearest home city.
Discretion
In a small country the chance of running into someone is higher than in a large city. Hotel appointments are the norm and home visits are rare.
Some people move the appointment to Trier, Arlon or Thionville, all within an hour.
